Everything you send us, in one place.
AccountancyHub is where clients of the practice share records, ask questions and keep track of what is due — without email attachments going astray.
Your accountant sets up your login and sends you a one-time password.
What you can do in the portal
A straightforward place to exchange things with your accountant, and to see where your work has got to.
Send and receive documents
Upload bank statements, invoices and records, and download anything the practice shares back with you. Files up to 12 MB each.
Message your accountant
Ask a question against your own record, so the answer stays with the paperwork it relates to instead of being lost in an inbox.
See what is due
Your key dates — accounts, Corporation Tax, VAT returns and Self Assessment — worked out from your year end and shown by what comes next.
Follow the progress
See the status the practice has set on your work, so you know whether something sits with them or is waiting on you.
Built to keep your records private
Your financial affairs are nobody else’s business. The portal is built accordingly.
Passwords are never stored
Only a scrypt hash with a random salt is kept, so your password cannot be read back out of the system — not even by the practice.
You see only your own records
Every document and message is checked against the account asking for it. Fee and billing information is filtered out on the server and never reaches client logins.
Repeated guesses get locked out
Six failed sign-ins locks that account for fifteen minutes. Sessions expire after eight hours, and cookies are restricted to HTTPS.
Everything is logged
Sign-ins, uploads and downloads are all recorded in an activity log, so there is a record of who did what and when.
Behind the portal
The practice runs on AccountancyHub Practice Manager — accounts preparation, tax, bookkeeping and compliance in one place, so the figures you are asked about and the deadlines you are shown come from the same records.
